It's summertime again, and that means that some security companies wil begin their Summer Sales programs.  Unfortunately, some companies are less than honest in their approach to gaining new customers.  In some instances, companies may use door-to-door sales techniques that are often high pressure and, at times, misleading. Here are some tips to avoid being taken advantage of by one of these companies.

• Do not sign any contracts without first contacting the Better Business Bureau to see if the company has a good reputation.
• If the deal they are offering seems too good to be true, it probably is.  Contact Atlas to see what we offer in equipment and services.
• If the representative of the security company claims to be working in conjunction with the  local police department, contact you local authorities to verify this.  Most likely, it is not true. 

In the past, some Atlas Security customers have been mislead by sales representatives of other companies that claimed that their company had purchased Atlas Security, that they worked for Atlas Security, or that Atlas Security was going out of business.  Those claims were, and still are, FALSE.

Don't put your home or business' security in the hands of a door-to-door salesman.
