Switching to VoIP

I am contemplating going to Time Warner internet and use Vonage for my phone.  Will I have a conflict?

Re: Switching to VoIP

If your alarm system currently communicates with us over the phone line, switching to VoIP for phone service will most likely cause your alarm system to stop communicating.  Typically, the alarm system connects to the phone lines at the demarcation box on your house.  When switching to VoIP, your phone service will now be provided from the internet instead the phone company line.  This almost always reverses or elimnates the alarm system's phone connection.

Please contact our service department for further details or to schedule a service call so a technician can re-attach your alarm system to the new phone service, avoiding a loss of communication.  We also offer monitoring over the internet or the cell network.  Both of these options would require the purchase of additional equipment.
